The Nurturing ADHD Programme
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neuro-developmental condition that effects roughly 3-5% of the population. Symptoms of ADHD include difficulties with focus and attention, scattered thoughts, difficulties with executive functioning and hyperactivity.
Are you a parent of a child with ADHD? Do you work with children and young people with ADHD? If so then The Nurturing ADHD Programme is for you! A five-week programme where Laura and Jodie will share with you their own personal experiences of ADHD, both as parents and individuals who live with this condition.
We will also be joined by Harry Thompson, another adult with PDA and ADHD who will share his valuable insights with you all. We will cover many aspects of ADHD - from home life to education and into adulthood, equipping our attendees with knowledge, skills and a truly insightful understanding of this often misunderstood condition.
In the first session Jodie and Laura will introduce themselves and discuss their own personal connections to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD.)
During this second session we will look in more detail at the impact that ADHD has on individuals.
In this session we will cover the basic legal rights of a learner with ADHD within school and college settings.
In this third session we will explore the impact ADHD can have on families and siblings.
For this fifth and final week we will again be joined by Harry Thompson.
