I’m Jodie, and I am Autistic. I’m Autistic and absolutely 100% proud and privileged to be able to share my experiences with you in the hope that we can bring about change, and balance, and inspire NURTURE throughout not just the community, but adventurously the universe!
I was only diagnosed in 2020, over 8 years after my first child was diagnosed (three Autistic children altogether) and whilst I have been predominantly using a Nurturing parenting style, it never fully translated to myself, therefore I was frequently in a state of shutdown and burnout and unable to tend to my own needs.
Charlotte (known as Soubs) lives in Somerset, is mum to a 10 year old Autistic/PDA son (she is also his unofficial video editor for his YouTube channel), has been running her own virtual assistant business since 2016 and has been battling the SEND system since her son was diagnosed at 4 years old. There’s not much she’s not had to advocate for on behalf of her son from mainstream to alternative provision, to finally finding a wonderful specialist school after 3 years out of school.
At The Nurture Programme, Soubs keeps Jodie in check, is our tech guru and makes sure the team runs smoothly. Oh, and she also loves Take That and was on Masterchef back in 2010.
Katy Cordice is a late diagnosed Audhd mum to 5 Neurodivergent wildlings, She has coloured and no doubt will continue to colour outside the lines. Katy is dedicated to fostering strong connections, promoting understanding, and cultivating personal growth and authenticity.
You will find Katy in The Co-Regulation Corner, which is a FREE group on Facebook, where she admins as part of a volunteer role for The Nurture Programme. Katy loves to share memes, games and glimmers in the group and has brought about real connection for our members via weekly zoom meet ups.
Abbie lives in North Somerset and is mum to her amazing (but sassy!) 9 year old daughter, and also has a lovely 9 year old step-son with ASD. She is also dog-mum to her crazy miniature dachshund Buddy. Her husband doesn’t get a look in, bless him! She’s been freelancing for three years, running her own social media marketing and virtual assistant business. Definitely one of the best decisions she’s ever made! She has recently joined The Nurture Programme as their Social Media Manager. “It’s a real honour to be part of a team of awesome women who are all advocates for change…and smashing it!”
When she’s not sat at her laptop, she loves to keep active, read, spend time with her family – and her guilty pleasure is trashy TV like Married At First Sight and Love Island!
Eloise is a Virtual Assistant based in Surrey. With close family members who are Neurodivergent, she is incredibly passionate about the work of The Nurture Programme.
As the Nook manager she organises all our speakers, sets up events, and generally keeps members updated with the latest information.
When not working she loves spending time with family or reading a good book.
